New Court Jester: Woman bites off man's testicles

And Court of Appeal lets her off with 2 months' jail due to "confused" circumstances.

10 Feb 2001 - Next time, think twice before you sit on a woman's face during a fight.

29-year-old Denise Carr faced (no pun intended) just such a situation and decided out of anger to take the drastic action of biting the offending man's testicles off.

Mr Neil Hutchinson's dislodged crown jewels was found under a picture frame later on and deemed impossible to re-attach.

This all happened during a house party celebrating Mr Hutchinson's wedding, the same party of which his newly-wedded bride left him subsequent to the fight, and who is now filing for divorce.

Apparently, Mr Hutchinson had at the time downed three-quarters of a bottle of tequila, and started believing that his soon-to-be ex-wife had something going on with Mr Carr.

His loss occurred when he sat on Mrs Carr's face in the midst of a brawl after she had defended a previous attack on her friend (his wife). As Mrs Carr's husband tried to separate the two, one good bite from the squashed woman dislodged Mr Hutchinson's testicles.

And what does this have to do with the law?

Mrs Carr was initially to do 6 months' worth of time for her bit in the brawl. She had her sentence cut to 2 months after the judge at the Court of Appeals hearing the appeal said, "While the court has to have regard for the effect of the injury on the victim - and we all feel that custody was appropriate - a short sentence of two months will suffice, which we anticipate will lead to her immediate release."

All this because he felt the picture of what happened was "confused".

Quote Mr Carr: "It's been a complete *****-up from the start - a ridiculous charge. There was no reason why they charged her at all."

Wonder how Mr Hutchinson feels. Must have been a pain in the... ooh...
