MTI Seeks Views on the Proposed Amendments to the Hire-Purchase Act

Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is embarking on a public consultation of the proposed amendments to the Hire-Purchase Act to solicit feedback on the proposed law.
The Hire-Purchase Act regulates the form and contents of hire-purchase agreements, and spells out the rights and duties of parties to such agreements.

The document "Proposed amendments to Hire-Purchase Act Consultation Paper" sets out the approach and framework of the draft Hire-Purchase (Amendment) Bill ("draft Bill"). The consultation paper can be found in MTI's Website.

All views and comments should reach MTI on or before 12.00 noon, 11 June 2004.
