Public Consultation on DTAs

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) is conducting a public consultation exercise on Avoidance of Double Taxation Agreements (DTAs) from 23 April 2007 to 1 June 2007.

2. For this exercise, MOF is inviting comments for the purpose of reviewing the existing DTAs with Bangladesh, Luxembourg, Pakistan, South Africa, and United Arab Emirates which were concluded some 10 to 20 years ago. MOF is also looking at expanding our DTA network and would like comments on the public’s interest in Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Croatia, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Peru, Tajikistan and Venezuela. In addition, the public is welcome to give any other feedback on the existing DTAs Singapore has with countries other than those listed.

3. Please refer to MOF’s website at http://www.mof.gov.sg/consultation_current/index.html or http://www.reach.gov.sg for details on the consultation exercise.
