Justice VK Rajah Appointed of Judge of Appeal of the Supreme Court

The President, acting in his discretion and on the advice of the Prime Minister, has appointed Justice V K Rajah, age 50, as a Judge of Appeal under Article 95 of the Constitution. The appointment takes effect from 11 April 2007.

Justice Rajah was among the first batch of Senior Counsels in Singapore appointed in 1997. He was elevated to the Supreme Court Bench as a Judicial Commissioner on 2 January 2004 and was appointed as a Judge of the Supreme Court in November 2004.
