UK Law Co-op Launches Telephone Law Service

The Co-operative Group, UK has launched a free legal services helpline as the company continues to position itself to take advantage of the post-Clementi liberalisation of legal services.

This follows an announcement earlier in 2006 that the Co-op is setting up a new division, the "Co-operative Legal Services", to offer its customers a range of 'high street' legal services like conveyancing, will writing, probate and accident matters.

The helpline, which will be up and running on 27 November 2006, will provide free legal service to an estimated two million Co-op customers.
