SLA Launches Free Land Query And Street Map Service

The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has launched two free services on the Internet: the Land Query and StreetMap@Singapore services. The services can be found at www.inlis.gov.sg.

The Land Query service allows the public to obtain details of Singapore public land like the name of the public agency responsible for the land, or its managing agent and the contact numbers. It contains data from about 50 government agencies and eight managing agents of State Land. It is believed to be the first of its kind in the region.

The StreetMap@Singapore service offers basic information like buildings and road names.

The new services were unveiled by Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs, Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee on 22 Nov 2006. The total number of services on INLIS is now 28, a four-fold increase since the portal's inception in 1998.
