Arms and Explosives Act To Be Amended

Parliament has introduced the Arms and Explosives (Amendment) Bill that will give authorities greater power to deal with potential terrorist activities.

The amendments make it an offence to be in possession of explosive precursors, ie ingredients to make explosives, without a licence. The police can also stop and search any person suspected to be in possession of and search any place suspected to be storing such explosive precursors.
