Specialist Judges Introduced in Subordinate Courts

It has been reported in the Singapore Press that the Subordinate Courts has launched a scheme which uses full time lawyers as specialist judges to hear certain comples cases that requires expert knowledge.

The first Specialist Judge is Senoir Counsel Tan Chee Meng who was appointed on 29 June 2006 for a period of 2 years. He will be hearing the Fusionpolis case — the construction project which resulted in two deaths soon after the Nicoll Highway collapse.
