Public Consultation on the Introduction of Privately-Managed Pension Plans under the CPF Investment Scheme

The Economic Review Committee (ERC) had recommended that the Government facilitate the provision of low cost, privately-managed pension plans (PPPs) as an additional investment option under the CPF Investment Scheme. The objectives are to increase the probability of higher long-term returns on members' CPF savings, reduce members' investment cost, and provide simple choices to members.
In response, the Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB) reviewed the possible approaches and developed a proposed framework for PPPs. The Board now invites interested parties to comment on the proposed framework for PPPs.

Please visit CPF's website for more information and to give your comments.

The consultation closes on 15 February 2004.
