Demerit Points System For Employment Agencies
The Ministry of Manpower Demerit Points System for Employment Agencies take effect from 1 February 2006.
Under the Demerit Points System (DPS), Employment Agencies (EAs) that are in breach of the EA Act, Rules or Licence Conditions will be issued with either 3, 6 or 12 demerit points, depending on the severity of the infringements. The number of demerit points accumulated within an EA’s one-year licensing period will serve as a guide for licence non-renewal and revocation.
