Jail Term For Illegally Distributing Music Online
Two men have become the first in Singapore to be jailed for illegally distributing music online.
One was sentenced to four months' jail for illegally distributing some 650 copyrighted songs online while the other got three months' jail for distributing almost 300 songs.
Under the Copyright Act, both could have been jailed up to five years and fined up to S$100,000 each.
