MAS Updates List of Persons Belonging To Terrorist Organisations

In a press release, MAS advised financial institutions to update their list of individuals and entities belonging to or associated with the Taliban and the Al-Qaida organisation (the 1267 List) as required under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (Anti-Terrorism Measures) Regulations 2002.

Please note that the list of the individuals and entities belonging to or associated with the Taliban and the Al-Qaida organisation (the 1267 List), as maintained by the Security Council Committee of the United Nations (the 1267 Committee) established pursuant to Resolution 1267 (1999), has been updated.

The updated 1267 List is available at http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/committees/1267/1267ListEng.htm .

To ensure compliance with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (Anti-Terrorism Measures) Regulations 2002, all financial institutions are encouraged to update their databases accordingly.
