Public Consultation on the Proposed Amendments to the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Act

Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) is embarking on a public consultation of the proposed amendments to the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties Act (the "CADA").

The amendments seek to implement the World Trade Organisation (WTO) spells out a set of internationally-agreed rules governing the use of anti-dumping duties.
MTI encourages members of the public, companies and business associations to give feedback on the proposed amendments. All views and comments should reach MTI on or before 12.00 noon, 7 October 2004.

MTI targets to table the Countervailing and Anti-Dumping Duties (Amendment) Bill in Parliament in the third quarter of this year. The consultation paper and the draft Bill are on the MTI website at www.mti.gov.sg. These materials can also be accessed at the Government Online Consultation Portal at www.feedback.gov.sg.
