MAS Consultation Paper on Business Trusts Regulations
On 11 August 2004, the Monetary Authority of Singapore released a Consultation Paper on draft Business Trusts Regulations ("BT Regulations").
In December 2003, MAS conducted a public consultation on the regulatory framework for business trusts and the draft Business Trusts Bill ("BT Bill"). The BT Bill was introduced in Parliament for first reading on 20 Jul 2004.
The draft BT Regulations set out requirements to operationalise certain provisions in the BT Bill.
